ASS, a gram-negative rod shaped bacteria is a well known factor for causing Furunoculosis in Atlantic salmon(Salmo salar). Many methods are invested to overcome the shortages of relying on antibiotics as the uprsing usage, abuse of antibiotics can lead to the outbreaks of antibiotic resistant bacteria which can be a potentional threat. Injection and immersion are the most well-known next level methods against this threat, but they also show some limitations by different conditions such as fish size and immune response persistence. This is the point that the oral vaccination gets focused due to its advantages of showing easy and efficient applications. But oral vaccinatons also show shortages, especially with antigen delivery. Antigen alone cannot be safely loaded to the mucosal parts of the intestine through the stomach. Alginate sodium and Chitosan are well known to work as an adjuvant to protect the antigens stable. In this study, Alginate sodium and Chitosan was used to make an oral vaccine and tested. Immune parameter changes were then assessed to estimate its activation.
