해조류의 사료적 가치 및 육성기 거세 한우의 증체, 사료섭취량에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted to evaluate the nutritional value of seaweeds and the impact on productivity by supplying total mixed fermentation (TMF) in growing Hanwoo steers. Seaweeds were obtained from a local market in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The collected seaweeds were analyzed for general ingredinets and fiber and in the TMF feed mixing process, it was mixed in the dry matter stage. Thirty six growing steers (initial body weight [BW] 274 ± 2.3 kg, 8 months of age) were randomly allocated into three groups according to BW and age (3 replications/treatment; 4 steers/pen), and separated to one of the three dietary treatments: control (0% seaweeds), FN-B (15% seaweeds) and GN-B (30% seaweeds). Contained seaweeds TMF feed diets were fed based on 2017 Korean Feeding Standard for Hanwoo twice a day (0800 and 1700) and mineral blocks for vitamins and water were provided without restriction during the experimental period. Chemical composition for the seaweeds (Undaria pinnatifida, Saccharina japonica, Hizikia fusiformis) dry matter (DM) was 10.0, 7.1 and 10.4%, crude protein (CP) was 10.61., 9.28, 8.17%, ether extract (EE) was 1.55, 0.16, 0.98%, crude fiber (CF) was 36.4, 34.1, 17.1%, crude ash (Ash) was 35.05, 23.28, 16.86%, neutral detergent-insoluble fiber (NDF) was 23.6, 22.28, 19.09%, acid detergent-insoluble fiber (ADF detergent-insoluble fiber) was 14.08, 13.06, 11.55%, and total digestible nutrients (TDN) were 42.06, 49.25, 62.67%. The 1st period (0 ∼ 4 week) of average daily gain (ADG) was 1.56, 1.62 and 1.66 kg/day, 2nd period (5 ∼ 8 week) of ADG was 1.35, 1.40 and 1.37 kg/day, and 3rd period (9 ∼ 12 week) of ADG was 1.12, 1.21 and 1.13 kg/day, 4th period(13 ∼16 week) of ADG was 0.91, 0.96 and 0.88 kg/day for Control, FN-B and GN-B, respectively. The ADG during the entire experimental period (0 ∼ 16 week) was 0.91 (Control), 0.96 (FN-B) and 0.88 (GN-B) kg/day and was not significantly different between treatments. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) during the 1st period for Control, FN-B and GN-B showed no significant difference with 4.23, 4.10 and 4.35, respectively. In 2nd period, FCR value was 6.33, 6.06 and 6.51, respectively. In the 3rd period, FCR was 8.84, 8.13 and 8.02, respectively. During 4th period FCR was 10.51, 10.55 and 10.28 in each treatment. The FCR during the whole period was 7.48, 7.21, and 7.29 in the Control, FN-B and GN-B, respectively. Values were similar between the Control, FN-B and GN-B and there were no statistically significant differences. feed cost (FC) was 265,512 won, 228,368 won, and 178,929 won in control, FN-B and GN-B, respectively. During entire experimental period, there is considered to have statistically significant values. The feed cost of the 1st period was 64,686 won, 55,935 won, and 44,978 won in control, FN-B and GN-B, respectively. The 2nd period was 66,284 won, 56,484 won, and 44,855 won, respectively. The feed cost of 3rd period was 66,848 won, 57,661 won, and 44,671 won in control, FN-B and GN-B, respectively. The 4rd period was 67,694 won, 58,288 won, and 44,425 won, respectively. Therefore, through this experiment, it was confirmed that up to 15% and 30% (based on raw materials) of seaweeds to TMF feed of Hanwoo steers in the growing stage did not negative affects on feed intake, average daily gain and feed conversion ratio. Significant value was confirmed in feed cost, it is possible to reduce feed costs in the growing stage of Hanwoo steers through seaweeds.
