Abstract The study was carried out to develop a standardized seedling method for strawberry cultivation using highland and lowland peat pellet and cutting materials during the seedling period. Seolhyang and Inspire cultivars were used for the experiment, and their physicochemical properties were evaluated. The growth and development of the mother plants of the Inspire cultivar were superior to Seolhyang, recording the highest leaf number 16.5, new plants 3.4, runners 6, crown 2.8, daughter plants 11. Regarding the growth and development (destructive) of topographic agriculture (high and low land agriculture) of Seolhyang and Inspire, Highland peat pellet Inspire (HPI) emerged as the best medium resulting in high leaf number 5.1, plant height 25.3cm, root length 15.4cm, crown diameter 8.8mm, dry shoot weight 1.9g, dry root weight 0.5g, compared to the cutting method (peat-pellet, general cutting). Using HPI revealed a better fruit hardness 5.7N, sugar contents 10.6°Bx, acidity 0.93%, and sugar-acidity ratio of 19.2%. At the end of the study, the growth and development of seeding were better using HPI (leaf number 39, crown diameter 5.1mm, petiole length 17cm, and petiole diameter 6.2mm). Therefore, it can be deduced that strawberry seedling technology using HPI has a high potential for commercial mass production of high-quality seedlings.
