영아 은비의 일상적 음악 경험: 생후 9개월부터 18개월을 중심으로

초록/요약 도움말

This study observes the music experiences of infant Eunbi in detail from 9 to 18-months after birth through daily experiences to observe music experiences in the everyday lives of infants and reveal how daily music experiences appear. For such research purposes, the researcher conducted a case study on the research participant infant Eunbi. The research period was approximately 9 months from August 31, 2018 to June 7, 2019 and participative observations were made from 9 months after Eunbi’s birth to 18 months after her birth and for 36 weeks, 39 sessions were conducted for an average time of 1 hour and 30 minutes every Friday. Data collection was made for approximately 9 moths from August 31, 2018 to June 7, 2019. The data collection method for research was writing field notes through participative observations and other collection methods included data collection made through video recording, photographs, researcher journals, and interview recordings. The detailed research problems and research results of this study are as follows. First, how does Eunbi change in daily music experiences? Second, how are the daily music experiences of Eunbi composed in her daily experiences? First, how does Eunbi change in daily music experiences? The musical abilities of Eunbi with regard to ‘sound exploration and music appreciation’, ‘singing’, and ‘instrument playing’ were enhanced in daily music experiences and such musical ability enhancement was being developed in close relation to other development dimensions. Observations of ‘sound exploration and music appreciation’ show that as the physical movements of Eunbi develop, the sound exploration of Eunbi actively looks for sounds, creates sounds, listens to music closely, and recognizes and categorizes. The music experiences of Eunbi were mainly being expressed using the body. The music experiences of Eunbi’s ‘sound exploration and music appreciation’ were being expressed with physical reactions. With ‘singing’, Eunbi was training and controlling her own voice and attempting vocalization with various intonations. The ‘singing’ of Eunbi was closely related to language development. The singing experiences of Eunbi appeared with a main focus on rhythm and sounds, and she voluntarily sang and moved her body. In ‘instrument playing’, Eunbi found interest and joy in diverse tools or instruments that make sounds. Eunbi became able to play rhythms with regular beats and simple tempos and she was able to match rhythm to familiar songs. Eunbi’s experiences with ‘physical expression’ mainly appeared through rhythm. Eunbi was able to control the speed of her body according to the speeds of songs and she was moving her whole body according to physical developments and reacting to fast music. She voluntarily sang while immersed in play and moved her body while singing. While her motor abilities improved, she moved every part of her body that she could move when listening to music and displayed complex physical reactions. Second, how are everyday daily experience environments in the daily experiences of Eunbi? Aspects of 'how are the daily music experiences of Eunbi composed in her daily experiences' could be analyzed by 'supported joint attention' and 'coordinated joint attention' and examinations mainly showed 'coordinated joint attention' in the daily music experiences of Eunbi. 'Showing interest' in the daily music experiences of Eunbi is Eunbi giving attention to objects or people in a manner of supported joint attention but not actively interacting. Eunbi mainly showed interest in rhythms or sounds with movements when 'showing interest'. Eunbi's family environment allowed her to listen to various rhythms or pitches, peeking her interest. 'Looking together' in the daily music experiences of Eunbi displayed coordinated joint attention. In her family environment, Eunbi paid attention to house objects and people, or in other words, her family, and interactions were mainly made through rhythms and sounds. coordinated joint attention in Eunbi's daily music experiences mainly consisted of her interactions with her mother. However, during the observation period from the 9 to 18-months after her birth, Eunbi’s reactions towards her environment mainly consisted of ‘looking together’ more than ‘having interest’. In other words, Eunbi was being affected in diverse ways in her family environment and sharing interactions with objects and through her family. In particular, the motherese of her mother captured the attention of the infant and the motherese of her mother mainly used rhythm and pitch. This shows that infants learn music through meetings and develop music through meetings.
