한국(2017 -2018)에서 감자 역병(Phytophthora infestans)에 대한 Oxathiapiprolin의 감수성 기준선

Baseline Sensitivity to Oxathiapiprolin of Potato Late Blight (Phytophthora infestans) in Korea

ABSTRACT Phytophthora infestans are fatal plant pathogens in potatoes and tomatoes. Potatoes are the most damaging plant pathogens in any area where they grow, and they are causing annual economic losses. Since most varieties of potatoes are susceptible to the pathogen, they often rely on chemical controls. Frequent application of this same fungicide is highly likely to cause pathogen resistance. The main disinfectants used for chemical control are mancozeb, chlorothalonil, metalaxyl, fluazinam, amisulbrom, benalaxyl, cyazofamid, cymoxanil, metalaxyl, dimethomorph, famoxadone, and oxadixyl etc., and the effect of the resistance is decreased due to the occurrence of the resistant strains due to the continuous spraying. Oxathipiprolin is a new germicide in the piperidyl thiazole isoxoline, a disinfectant that shows excellent activity in Oomycetes pathogens. It has excellent preventive and therapeutic effects for Phytophthora spp. and downy mildew of grapes, potatoes, and vegetables. The purpose of this study was to find out baseline sensitivity of the new anti-oomycete compound oxathiapiprolin against P. infestans. A total of 80 isolates of Phytophthora infestans were isolated from the disease leaves of potato isolated from 8 potato growing locations such as Gangneung-si Wangsan-myeon, Gangneung-si Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung-si, Jeongseon-gun, Pyeoungchang-gun, Cuncheon-si, Bosung-gun, and Jeju-do of Korea in 2017~2018. Among 37 isolates of 2017, we found lowest EC 50 value 0.00088 ppm, highest EC 50 value 0.00109 ppm and mean EC 50 value 0.00102 ppm. Among 43 isolates of 2018, we found lowest EC 50 value 0.0001 ppm, highest EC 50 value 0.0016 ppm and mean EC 50 value 0.00094 ppm. Baseline sensitivity of oxathiapiprolin to Phytophthora infestans should be continuously monitored to prevent the emergence of resistant pathogens.
