대학생의 스포츠 활동 참여가 신체적 자기개념과 대학생활만족도에 미치는 영향

The effect of participating in sports activities on self-concept and school life satisfaction of college students. Lee, YuRi Major in Physical Education Graduate School of Education Gangneuneg-Wonju National University The purpose of this study was to examine the physical self-concept of college students and their satisfaction with college life according to demographic characteristics and sport participation in an effort to determine the correlation and influential relationship of the variables. As for the subjects in this study, the students at two different colleges located in Gangwon Province were selected as the population, and 150 questionnaires each were handed out to the humanities and social sciences majors, the natural sciences majors and the art, P.E. or music majors. 450 questionnaires were distributed in total, and the answer sheets from 425 respondents were collected. And then the data from 232 respondents who engaged in sport activities were finally analyzed. As to data analysis, a statistical package SPSS 21.0 was employed. A frequency analysis was made to find out their demographic characteristics, and an exploratory factor analysis was carried out. To test reliability, Cronbach alpha coefficients were calculated, and one-way ANOVA was conducted to test the hypotheses of the study. As to a post-hoc analysis, Scheffe test was used. Finally, a correlation analysis and a multiple regression analysis were carried out to look for connections between physical self-concept and college life satisfaction. The findings of the study were as follows: First, concerning physical self-concept by demographic characteristics, there were significant differences according to gender and major. Second, concerning physical self-concept according to sport participation, there were significant differences according to the period of participation and the frequency of participation. Third, concerning college life satisfaction by demographic characteristics, there were significant differences according to major. Fourth, concerning college life satisfaction according to sport participation, there were significant differences according to the period of participation and the frequency of participation. Fifth, concerning the correlation between the physical self-concept and college life satisfaction of the college students doing sport activities, the subfactors of college life satisfaction was under the positive influence of the subfactors of physical self-concept that were appearance, muscular strength, endurance, Physical activity, flexibility, body fat, health, sport competency and self-esteem. The findings of the study illustrated that the sport participation of the college students exerted an influence on their physical self-concept and college life satisfaction.
