초록/요약
This experiment was carried out to analyze the change in fruitquality at harvest, during storage, and simulated marketing period ofblueberries for 3 years (2006-2008) with high-bush cultivars.Blueray, Duke, Northland, and Sunrise might be recommendedprimarily to culture on plane area among the high-bush blueberriesmore than 30 cultivars. When we analyzed the fruit quality changes with two differenttransport condition, room and cold temperature (10℃) after harvesting, using Bluegold, Duke, Northland, and Sierra, the best quality ofblueberry fruit was shown in Bluegold. Fruit storability in 10℃ wasbetter than that of room temperature and the worst fruit quality wasshown in Duke at 10℃ storage. To examine best distribution package,we compared the PETE (polyethylene terephthalate) and PE filmpackage. In the PETE package, Bluetta and Duke were used andBrigitta, Darrow, Dixi and Northland were used in the PE filmpackage, respectively. All packages were stored in room and coldtemperature (10℃). The shelf life to market was maintained for 2 daysin PETE package at room temperature and that was sustained for4-5 days in cold temperature. In the PE film package, the maketibility was shorter than 2 days and it was thought that the water-soak inthe package induced degradation of fruit. Fruit quality of blueberry was also examined at two differentstorage condition, 1℃ and 10℃. After stored in cold temperature, thefruit was transported in the room temperature. The cracking fruit anddeterioration in 1℃ storage occurred much more than that of 10℃storage. In the expiration limit, Duke was longer than the othercultivars and Northland was shorter than the other cultivars. Inconclusion, the marketability of blueberries was maintained 6 days in10℃ storage and the storability of Northland was lower than theother cultivars and Duke showed good storability. Pre-cooling at 10℃for 3 hrs for postharvest treatment extend the shelf life of fruit to 9days than 4 days of control stored at room temperature. We suggested that shelf life and marketability of blueberry fruit wasmaintained and even extended in the low-temperature storage at 10℃than the room temperature and more effective when the fruit treatedwith pre-cooling. In addition, PETE package was better than the PEfilm package to maintain marketability.
