현대인들은 생활공간과 서로 감성을 교류하면서 그 속에서 새로운 디자인을 창조하려한다.자신의 공간을 자유롭게 장식 디자인함으로써 미적 예술성과 개성을표출하면서, 그 안에서 휴식을 추구한다. 현대인들의 실내장식 표현 중 우선 가구를 생각할 수 있는데 실내공간에서의 가구는 자신의 본 모습이기보다 공간을통해서 드러나는 모습이 더 강조된다. 공간을 규정하는 요소들은 자신의 형태를공간 속에 포함 시키며 가치를 만들어낸다. 현대인들의 실내공간에 대한 표현이다양해지면서 도자 또한 일상생활 속에서 함께 공유하고 있다는 것을 알리기 위해 실내장식으로 생활 속에서 쓰이는 가구 중 테이블에 도자타일을 접목시키는방안에 대해 연구하였다. 현대인들이 추구하는 타일을 살펴보면 더 고급스럽고 화려한 시각적인 문화가강해짐에 따라, 디자인과 색채가 다양한 외국 타일을 많이 선호하고 있다. 때문에 우리나라에서 생산되는 타일과 외국타일의 다양한 디자인과 색채를 비교하였을 때 손색이 없는 도자타일 개발이 필요하다. 그래서 일상생활에서 가깝게 접하기 위해실내공간에서의 도자타일장식 효과를 살펴보았다. 제Ⅱ장에서는 타일의 역사에 대한 것과 타일의 분류와 종류 중 성형방법을 기준으로 한 타일과 용도를 기준으로 한 타일에 대해 알아보고, 타일을 점토재, 성형제조공정, 유약유무, 표면의 높낮이에 의한 분류에 대해서도 알아보았다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 타일의 디자인현황으로 국내의 기능성 타일에 대한 것과 도자타일이 장식적인 인테리어로 사용되는 사례에 대해 알아보고, 가구와 접목된 도자타일에 대한 사례들에 대해 알아보았다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 현대인들의 욕구를 충족시키고 다양한 개발이 필요한 도자타일에대한 개발 방안에 대해 알아보았다. 이런 내용을 바탕으로 작품의 제작 계획 및 과정을 서술하고 작품의 이해를 돕기 위해 설명하였다. 도자타일을 대중들에게 좀 더 친숙하게 느껴지도록 실생활에 접목시키고 장식디자인으로 응용하여 도자예술분야가 활성화 되도록 하고자한다. 또한 도자예술의 영역을넓혀 단일품목은 물론 실내장식을 포함한 문화상품연구가 계속 되길 바란다.

Modern people try to create new designs making an exchange with space. They do not only express aesthetic artistry and individuality by decorating their space freely, but also persue relaxation in it. We think that one of interior decorations Modern people express is furniture, which emphasizes the image shown through space rather than the absolute true shape. The elements regulating space contain their shapes in it and create its value. People today have studied the method which can integrate ceramic tile into table among furniture by integrating porcelain into furniture used in daily life for interior decoration so as to make us feel that we share everyday life with porcelain. Examining modern style tile carefully, as individual wants and more and more expensive and gorgeous visual culture have got stronger, consumers have preferred foreign tiles which have various designs and colors. On this account, also in our country, it became necessary to develop ceramic tiles standing comparison with a variety of designs and colors of foreign countries and so I presented the effects of the decoration with ceramic tiles indoors in order to examine them. In the second chapter, I carried out research on the history of tiles and the classification and types of tiles, among them, I found out the tiles on the basis of shaping method and the tiles based on purposes, and also studied the categories according to clay material, the manufacturing process, whether it is enameled or not and the high and low of surfaces. In the third chapter, in addition to the things about functional tiles and the examples of tiles used for decorative interior, and I examined about the examples of ceramic tiles integrated into furniture. In the fourth chapter, I made a study of the development plan for ceramic tiles which can satisfy modern people's desire and need various development. On the basis of this, I described the plan and also the process of production and then added an explanation in order to help you appreciate a work. I think that we should make ceramic arts become more and more familiar with the general public and attract our eyes more often by applying to real life and decorating with ceramic tiles, and we should continue studying them as a singular item and also a cultural product for interior decoration which we can find and use easily by integrating into other materials.
