본 연구는 최근 유아교육기관에서 멀티미디어나 디지털 기기의 활용과 더불어 관심이 증대되고 있는 플립 앨범 등의 전자책 프로그램을 활용하여 프로젝트 활동에 대한 기록 작업을 전개함으로써, 유아교육기관의 디지털 기록화 활동이 부모나 지역사회, 공공성 측면에서 갖는 의의와 의미를 찾아가고자 하였다. 이러한 연구의 목적에 따라 본 연구는 강원도 S시에 소재한 파란어린이집 초록풀잎반과 고운무지개반의 교사 2인과 원아 16명, 그리고 원아부모와 지역사회 구성원들을 대상으로 2008년 6월 2일부터 10월 12일까지 수행되었다. 본 연구는 참여관찰연구 형태로 수행되었는데, 5월에는 자료수집 이전에 참여관찰과 디지털 기록화의 적절성 검토를 위하여 2주에 걸쳐 1회 참여관찰 등을 수행하였으며, 자료수집은 참여관찰, 심층면담, 디지털 기록화를 통하여 이루어졌다. 본 연구대상 어린이집은 주제중심 통합교육활동을 유치원교육과정에 근거하여 연간교육계획에 따라 수업계획을 전개하였다. 연구대상 2개 학급원아들은 유치원교육과정에 근거한 통합교육활동을 전개함과 동시에 본 연구목적에 부합되도록 프로젝트 활동을 수행하였다. 이러한 활동을 근거로 하여 연구자가 구성한 가정과 지역사회연계 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동과정을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째. 주제 선정, 교사활동 계획, 데이터 수집단계 둘째. 유아 주도적 표현활동 단계 셋째. 멀티미디어 프로젝트 수행과 디지털 기록화 상영 넷째. 전시 및 디지털 기록화 공유하기 활동(부모, 지역사회) 다섯째. 디지털 기록화 공유를 통한 의사소통 활동 여섯째. 디지털 기록화 연계활동 내용에 대한 토론활동과 확장활동 일곱째. 평가하기 본 연구의 목적은 유아교육기관의 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동이 가정과 지역사회 연계, 공공성에 갖는 의미가 어떠한지 알아보는 것이었다. 연구 결과, 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동을 통해 가정과 연계 측면에서 가정과 원의 공유, 원에 다가가는 부모 등의 의미를 발견할 수 있었고, 지역사회연계 측면에서 프로젝트 과정에서의 기관과의 협력, 공공성 측면에서 기관과 협력하는 유아교육기관, 체험에서 발견한 제안과 도움이 주는 즐거움, 홈페이지 · 이메일은 공유와 협력의 수단, 우리원에 온 지역사회 인력 등의 의미를 발견할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 나타난 의의는 다음과 같다. 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동이 가정과 지역사회 연계에 있어, 서로에게도움을 주고받으며, 자연스럽게 공감대를 형성하며 발전되어 간다. 첫째, 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동을 가정과 연계함으로써 어린이집과 가정이 서로 마음을 나누고 부모참여수업으로 여유가 생기고 즐거워하는 부모의 모습을 찾을 수 있었다. 그리고 가정과 원 의사소통에서 즐거워하고 감사하는 마음을 나눌 수 있었다. 둘째, 디지털 기록화 프로젝트 활동이 지역사회연계, 공공성에 갖는 의의를 보면, 기관과 유아교육기관이 협력을 하여 문제를 해결하는 것으로 나타났다. 예를 들면, 지역사회연계 활동에 있어 불편한 사항에 대하여 제안하고 도움을 받을 수 있었고, 홈페이지나 이 메일을 통하여 서로의 협력관계를 구축하고, 감사하는 마음을 가지며 동시에 삶의 질을 향상시키는 수단으로 중요한 의미를 가진다.

This study focuses on digital instruments usage in a preschool and expending connected activity between family and local community. Also, it studies how the digital recording activity influences on parents, local community, and public through documenting project activity that makes use of e-book program such as flip album which have been interested with multimedia and digital instruments usage. On the above purposes, this research performs with Green Leaf class and Lovely Rainbow class of Blue house preschool from June 2.2008~ Oct 12. 2008. This includes two teachers, 16 children, parents, and members of local community. The research gathers the data by participant observation method,before that there was one participant observation during two weeks in May for examining appropriateness of participant observation and digital recording. Data was gathered through participant observation, depth interview, and digital recording. A Blue house preschool develops annual play-centered integrated education activity based on kindergarten curriculum. For this research, two selected classes’ students perform project with play-centered integrated education activity. Based on the activity, a researcher presents digital recording project that connecting home and local community. First, topic selection, teacher activity plan, data gathering Second, child initiative expression activity Third, multimedia project performance and showing digital recording Fourth, exhibition and sharing digital recording (parents and local community) Fifth, communication through sharing digital recording Sixth, discussion and expanding practice about digital recording activity Seventh, evaluation This research tries to find out how the digital recording activity influences on parents, local community, and public. As a result, connection with home shows parents get close relationship with preschool through digital recording project, and with local community shows cooperation with institution. On the public, it leads cooperate with institutions, suggestions from experiences, and pleasure of help. Homepage and e-mail are used as a way to express appreciation, and it also means human resources for local community. This is a discussion from the result of this research. Digital recording project provides chance to help each other and arouses sympathy that leads to development. First, this research finds that happy parents who can involved with preschool activity of their children through connected digital recording project. Also, they can communicate with preschool that create thankful mind to parents. Second, digital recording project creates connection between institution and preschool to solve problems. This is really important. For example, they can get help for problems about local connection activity, build cooperation through homepage or e-mail, and have appreciation to each other that elevate quality of life. This research has suggestions for future study. There are some limitations. This study has limited home and sources of connected local community with limited age range for digital recording project. Consequently, extensive study which including various age and wider locations with depth activity is required.
