호텔종사원 교육의 중요도 인식이 직무만족에 미치는영향 : 강원랜드 메인호텔 호텔종사원을 대상으로

In this study, the importance of educating and training hotel employees was recognized, and the measuring items on the education and training of hotel employees were created, based on the correlation between education and training of employees. This study aims at improving the education and training more efficiently and at finding better human resources management methods, so that the employees' potential ability can be developed, its importance can be more focused on, and also that implications can be made to help employees be more satisfied with their work, by researching what effects these measuring items have on the employees' job satisfaction, and by examining the correlation between education and training and the job satisfaction, ultimately. In order to achieve these goals, previous studies were inquired into, based on which the features of education and training and of job satisfaction were drawn. On the foundation of these features, a questionnaire survey of the full-time workers of F/O(front office), H/K(housekeeping), eating and drinking team, and cooking team of the main hotel of Kangwon Land was conducted and analyzed. The surveyed and collected data was processed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression, and ANOVA, according to the research objectives, and the data was statistically analyzed by SPSS 12.0 program. The research results showed that, first, the hypothesis that "the importance of education would be different, depending on the demographical features (gender, age, academic background, department, position, career)" was partially selected. The analysis results proved that when the education and training were categorized into the elements of field education, quality education, and self-development, there were meaningful differences in part, according to the demographical features. While the employees' departments and careers made meaningful differences in the importance of education, there were no meaningful differences made by gender, age, academic background, and position. Second, the supposition that “demographical features would affect job satisfaction" was adopted in part. The analysis results revealed that there were partially meaningful differences of each element of job satisfaction which were work satisfaction and self-realization. Job satisfaction was meaningfully different according to gender and career, but not meaningfully different depending on gender, age, academic background, department, and position. Third, the preposition that “the importance of education is different depending on the degree of job satisfaction" was chosen. It was proved that the elements of the importance of education, that is, field education, quality education, and self-development, and the elements of job satisfaction, which are work satisfaction and self-realization, positively affected one another, when they were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression. The study results of the effects of education and training of hotel employees on their job satisfaction above mean that when hotel employees get educated and trained, their desire to accomplish and their actual competence are enhanced, education and training are made use of while working, and the employees can achieve self-realization and satisfaction. For this purpose, various education and training programs should be developed so that employees can be satisfied with their jobs by getting education or training. In addition, because education and training affect job satisfaction, not only hotel industry but also governmental organizations have to for a long time invest into and support for the education and training of the employees to cultivate human resources of great ability.
