We performed the study of succession process of macro invertebrates in the artificial reefs established on the north coast of the East Sea, by investigation according to the establishment depth, establishment year and establishment area of the artificial reefs. With a result that the establishment depth of the artificial reefs was divided into less than 10 m, 10 to 20 m, 20 to 30 m and more than 30 m for investigation, the artificial reefs established in 10 to 20 m had the most invertebrates as total 22 species, biomass of 5, 275 g/㎡, population of 386 appeared. Regarding dominant species, Phylum Chordata held 70% and appeared to be the most. The population and biomass of macro invertebrates in the artificial reefs did not differ according to the depth (P>0.05). With a result that the establishment year of the artificial reefs was divided into the 1980s, 1990s, 1995s and 2000s for investigation, the artificial reefs established in the 2000s implied the most appearance as total 29 species and population of 1,181 appeared, but had the least biomass as it appeared to be 5,233.9 g/㎡. The artificial reefs established in 1980s had the most biomass as it appeared to be 13,849 g/㎡. Regarding dominant species, Phylum Chordata held 33% and appeared to have the most biomass. The population and biomass of invertebrates in the artificial reefs did not differ according to the establishment year (P>0.05). With a result that the establishment area of the artificial reefs was divided into northern sea area, middle sea area and southern sea area for investigation, southern sea area implied the most appearance as total 40 species, biomass of 14,238.1 g/㎡ and population of 629 appeared. Regarding dominant species, Phylum Chordata held 52% and appeared to have the most biomass, and the population and biomass of invertebrates in the artificial reefs did not differ according to the establishment area (P>0.05).
